I have a strange, nigh uncontrollable desire, to take
Understanding Terror Networks and apply the principles in it to a paper
on the cell structure of the revolutionary network of
Does this strike anyone as wrong? I figure if it can apply to Al-Qaeda, it can
apply to King Mob and friends... It would be interesting to do as a faux
academic paper and to then submit it to some Homeland Security conference.
Of course, I'd probably then be arrested and held without access to a lawyer
for a couple of years so maybe it is not a good plan.
In an effort towards fiscal responsibility, I've been using the public
library more. The only downside is that it gives me only two weeks to read my
books. This evening, I picked up:

depicting Dzogchen teachings and techniques. This is something like, in some
eras, finding the private chapel of Calvin with a Latin Bible, a Bishop's
mitre and a crucifex in it. Generally frowned upon in history for Gelugpa
monks, which the Dalai Lama was the one of the heads of...
What Really Matters : Searching for Wisdom in America: An
interesting survey of religious and spiritual practitioners in America. This
was highly recommended in One Taste by Ken Wilber.
Disinformation: The Interviews: Selected interviews from the second
season of the Disinformation television show in the UK. It has interviews
with Robert Anton Wilson, Grant Morrison, and many others. I flipped through
this a bit this evening and it's pretty cool stuff.
Lies : The Disinformation Guide to Magick and the Occult: The
book that I refuse to buy because Koenig has a piece with his lies in it. A
lot of the other material in it is quite good but I refuse to give Koenig
any of my money for his bile. What a fucker.
I have tomorrow off due to the Gods of Work being kind. That gives me a four
day weekend. R and I are renting a cabin overnight on Friday at a lake near
Everett. It's sealed from the elements, has a fireplace and power. It ought to
be fun and cozy. I'll get some reading in and some quality time with the
